| Message | I think we all agree that the most important thing is that we can never kill a person.  No matter whose fault an accident might be, this is the most important thing. Having said that, everyone bears some responsibility for their own safety.  And everyone needs to show some common courtesy.  The bicyclist in question showed neither enough concern for her own safety, nor enough courtesy, in my opinion, and many others.  We understand your desire for more awareness of bicyclists, but your strident insistence seems a little misplaced here.  Evan seems to have driven very responsibly, and reacted as quickly as anybody could have asked him to react.   I think I (and we all) get your point, but you are making it at Evan's expense, and it seems unfair to him.  (As a motorcyclist, I can go on and on in a similar vein to your posts, but again, it seems misplaced here.)
